North American Baseball Association (NABA) needs one owner

The NABA, a well-established online league, needs one owner to run a team. The league just started its 11th season of play and has more than two real-time years of existence. We are running OOTP 6.5.

Check us out:

http://www.nababaseball.org

The NABA is a 20-team league with the following settings:

- Coaches/scouts disabled
- Financials enabled
- Traditional ratings
- no DH
- draft pick trading allowed

The NABA also has a fairly rare feature among online OOTP leagues; the presence of a dedicated Player Agent. The Player Agent is responsible for negotiating contract extensions on behalf of the league's players. This makes for a more realistic financial system, with plenty of room for negotiations, and allows the NABA to be a more immersive experience.

OOTP 6.5 is required to join the league. Teams in the league occupy various cities in the U.S., Mexico, Canada, and Cuba.

League perks include BOSI and comprehensive CATO history pages.

This team has a superb offense, a very promising farm system, and one of the worst pitching staffs in the league. The league is well run by AJ and has an excellent group of owners who are dedicated to the league.

I will bump this and add a couple more things:

1. Please note that the 76 HR season Mijares put up was completely off the charts in regards to our normal numbers. He's just a freak of nature. As you can see on our projected leaders pages, we're much more traditional than that.

2. A.J. is a fine and wonderful commish, and I'm not just saying that because his team has fallen on hard times. He's easy to get in touch with, and he always goes the extra mile to make sure things are running smoothly.

3. There's been relatively little turnover during my time in the NABA (1 1/2 years IRL), and I think that says more about a league than anything I could come up with.

4. Eventually Ottawa will get old, and someone else will win.

So join the NABA. Four out of five doctors agree that the NABA is vital to your emotional well being.

I'm very flad to see the league doing so well.
I remember when it started shortly after the USBA. I used to follow it a couple years back.

Unlike some maverick leagues, the NABA was flad to see LL drop by.

I'll bump this, and say that everything I said before still stands.

Especially the part about A.J.'s team stinking.

For those who waited and missed out on Philadelphia, the best part about LA is that they're not in the same division as Ottawa and have a pretty good chance of winning the division this year. That, and they're named after a sweet '80's sportscar.

I might consider taking them. Was looking the team over and they do have good promise. My only problem is that almost the entire team is up for free agency after this season and I have found out the hard way in the league I am in that players who have any talent and low loyalty will ask for so much money you cant keep them I see LA has alot of money but it wont last long with the gred programmed into the game Any comments one way or another? I am a good owner who tries hard to make a winner but the finanacial aspects do frustrate.

If the financial aspects built into OOTP frustrate you, then the NABA might be the league for you. Our Player Agent is an ex-owner who's moved to a role negotiating contracts with our owners on behalf of the players. Contract negotiations in the NABA are no longer the typical guessing game that you get sometimes in OOTP; they are an interactive back-and-forth process with the Player Agent. Negotiations take on a more realistic flavor as a player's real-world production and true worth to the team is just as important as the ratings the game says he has.

If that interests you, please email me at bhawk1@mindspring.com!
