I don't see that happening anytime soon. Has there been some buzz about the Dodgers making that switch?

What was deliciously ironic about the Dodgers firing DePodesta and hiring a GIANT to be their new GM, is that Tommy "I bleed Dodger Blue" is widely believed to be the instigator behind the axing.

That's the rumor on some dodgers boards I visit, but nothing official or anything.

True Story. Tommy Lasorda's answering machine says "If you don't pull for the Dodgers, there's a good chance you won't make it into heaven!"

So yeah, basically the Dodgers are saying that adding about 20 more stolen bases a year is worth paying around an extra $7 million in salary.

Still, I dont like the idea of moving Izturis to 2B and Kent to 1B. Seems they might be best off simply trading one of them.
Bye-bye H.S. Choi?

Not so fast, since Izturis is not back from injury yet.

You know, shortstops that hit .280/.348/.429 don't grow on trees.

Errr, wait...

I think it also includes the higher OBP and the higher SLG.

For starters, the difference in career BA is 20 points, not 10. OBP? 53 points. SLG%? 71. There is a massive difference between these two players.

Haven't there been issues with Furcal's actual age in the past? Are we sure he's only 28 years old?

He "aged" two(?) years in his personal Age-gate. Does he look in his 30s to you?

I wasn't saying he's definitely older, I was just wondering if there's a chance the "new" age might still be wrong.

It's been mentioned in pretty much every article about the Dodgers possibly signing Furcal. Izturis won't be back until the AS break and Kent is a FA at the end of the year so it would only be a temporary thing.

Anyway, ridiculous signing but whatever. Not my money and frankly I feel no allegiance to this team anyway.
