Ankit/OOTP question

This is my first league using the Ankit 5.2 database versus Lahman and all of my pitchers show up as having 250 innings pitched the previous year (this is imported in, no games played yet) even Armando Benitez.. What did I do wrong there?

you are using the Career Averages database. What this does is averages out their production over their entire career, and uses that averaged out statline for each year they played. That way when you import the player, in his rookie year or a veteran year, you will get accurate ratings based on an average season for that player.

If you are playing with the career averages database, you pretty much have to erase all career stats when you begin the league, or you will have weird histories for all of the players. One of the downsides of what is an otherwise really great database.

Ok thank you so much..... yes, Ankit's instructions were to erase all career stats... Thanks for clearing that up...
