Minor League or Post Season
Just to stir the pot a bit, I thought I would post a poll just to see what people would rather have in OOTP 5, Career Minor League stats or Career Post Season stats. Please remember that this poll doesnt mean that either or both will be in OOTP 5.
Check out this thread for some cool stuff that Marcus has released for OOTP 5 http://www.400softwarestudios.com/bo...threadid=17638 |

Like AsTrOFaN I'd like both, but Postseason would be my priority.

The minor league would be cool but I'm for the post season all the way.

Minor league - it's much more important than post season.

Minor League is much more important to me, for most of the players post season stats will never happen (either they won't make the majors or will never play in the postseason), but for almost all of the players they will spend time in the minor leagues. You get more bang for the increased size of the database in my opinion by saving the minor league stats, IMO.
Edit - BTW Markus has already announced that post season minor league stats and a new minor league module that includes minor league standings and box scores will be in OOTP5. |

In my opinion I think postseason stats are more important ....
I mean, it's not very often that a player won't ever play a single playoff game in their career, and it's even more unlikely that a good player will never play in a playoff game. Sure, minor league stats may be important when the player is still in the minors... but once the player reaches the majors they become a lot less important ... I mean, say for example you were looking at former players, and trying to decide who you should include in the Hall of Fame or not ... would you be more likely to look at whether or not the person was a proven playoff performer, or what his on base percentage was in AAA ball? So yeah, both things would be cool, but I'd say postseason is more important. |

I have to go for career post season. I think it would be great to look at when a player has retired and is on the border line of making the Hall of Fame.

I have to admit that I am a little surprised how this vote is turning out.

I think it depends on why kind of league you usually do. I would say a majority of people either play fictional or current leagues.
For me since I am primarily doing historic leagues, post season stats have more value. In most cases I don't even sim the minors and seldom do any significant players spend any notable time in the minors. I would much rather be able to just check a players card and determine if he has ever played a post-season game without having to jump through hoops. |

I've gotta go with postseason. Nobody cares what Bagwell or Biggio did in the minors but everyone knows what they've done in the postseason (0). I vote postseason.

Both, but I think that postseason stats are more important. Shows how good a player is when it counts.

postseason.
To be perfectly honest, I don't see why career minor league stats would be important. The game tells you when a guy is ready to move up from A to AA and AA to AAA... then you can make the decision to bring them up to the majors based on their ratings and/or current minor league stats.

Both are important, but I think the Minor League stats may make league files very large. I'd love to see the post season though for sure. I wanna see if some regular season chumps become post season heroes, year after year. ie Mark Lemke
