All Halofan roster set users......

Just a note to all of you that use my set for one reason or another;

1. An update is going up tonight (11-3-05) however it will be fairly late.

2. I am getting prepared for my 3rd knee operation so

3. I am trying to get ahead in my classes so am not behind when i get back, in addition to midterms the rest of this week and most of next week, so be patient


Just so that everyone knows whats up and i feel the right thing to do is to tell everyone that uses the set as i consider you "loyal customers" even tho i get no money for what i do, i do it cause i love it

My knee operation is to keep me off my feet for about 3 weeks, however we own 5 computers and i will have one near me at all times just about except for the day of and day after my operation. What this has to do with the users is that my roster set usually gets updated every 2-3 weeks in the offseason, however it will probably be every 3-4 weeks this offseason for the reasons i stated above. I am also due to have 2 more operations for a total of 5 within the next year or so, and this also means that a regular update may be a little "off".

Now as for the set, ALOT of people are anxious to get this set, however i cant say this enough..........this is NOT a total finished update! The player stats will NOT be in there yet, nor will ratings be completely adjusted to reflect the last season. Player movement will be up until the day of game 4 of the World Series. Now here is the kicker......

Planned updates for the new set:

1.player stats are updated (major, minor, and post-season)
2.player movement will be updated (free agent signings, releases, waivers, suspensions *cough* Lawton, etc...)
3.player histories for as many players as i can get
4.managerial changes (front office and field staff)

ill list more as i go cause i know im forgetting things

Now here is where you all come in.....

normally i dont take stat or rating input on players....well im going to take input on ratings now...but only certain input ratings! I will accept intangible type ratings right now. I can do probably 12 of the 30 teams, but im sure ill forget someone. I want these emailed (dont post them here or send me a PM, i will ignore them) to me and i will take ALL of the input and suggestions i get and adjust/rate/change from there....DO NOT send me things about their overall stats (HR, RBI, BA)...im looking for clutch, leadership, loyalty type things to include the popularity ratings as well. You do not need to send me "hard eveidence" on this, just send me your opinion and make a good case for it. Dont send me crap like "I think Beckett should be rated as a very high clutch player because he is cute/ex-high school teammate/husband/boyfriend/son/gay lover" i will blow you off.....

Now here is the disclaimer....IM NOT HERE TO PLEASE EVERYONE, I DO THIS TO TRY AND MAKE SOME PEOPLE HAPPY so if you dont like the set, no problem at all, but dont send my wife nasty emails, or post stupid childish comments on my site. I dont go to your home and write my feelings on your bedroom walls or yell at your wife that you dont agree with me. I could care less if you email me and hate me, stand in line

Now i welcome all comments but ideas need ot be sent to my email so i can keep them so i dont need to search all over this board for them.

Anyways, glad to here its coming out tonight, time to start my winter baseball league.

One question, will you put out a file that starts at the end of the World Series/the start of Free Agency? If not thats cool, but if so awesome.

Would you accept batting ratings and pitching ratings (like Control, Movement, and Stuff, etc.)?


Cause I'll gladly help you update it. I make an unbiased view of players and I know how to rate playe's and I can pretty much say I got a lot of Baseball IQ. If you don't believe me, I can send you my ratings for certain players and see what you think.

The files should be fine now...im not sure what happened on your guys' end but everytime i downloaded it, it was fine.....there is now two links with the Oct. 26th update on it so use either one

I must be doing something wrong. When I download the file and unzip it into my OOTP6 directory, and load the league, I notice that Roger Clemens, Maddux and Ricky Henderson are in the HOF. Problem is these three players are also listed with their respective teams too. (Ie., Clemens is on Houston). So basically I have a retired version of these three players and an active one. Any thoughts?

this is a known bug that i havent fixed yet.....this will also be a problem when i convert the roster set to the 2006 season. Im going to end up having retired players and ill have to unretire them, but they will show up as retired and active. if i had an easy fool proof fix for it, i would have done it, sorry

I am looking at the Phillies and they have no ratings (or stars)..Is anyone seeing that?

chriskelly-its there in the downloads under the OOTP roster section....make sure you are logged in

sboehler-thats because the Phillies didnt have a GM as of Oct. 26th. once you supply them with a GM, you will see these things
