Wow.
The Patriots win this game if Duane Starks is in a crippling car accident on his way to the stadium. He is easily the worst starting cornerback I have ever seen. I have no doubt that the Patriots win if Stone/Gay were in the whole game. Although Wayne only had the one TD catch, he had huge catches on plays where a ******ed child could've kept up with him in every drive during the first half. And I really got sick of obvious holding (once even a full-fledged tackle!) no-calls on the Colts offensive linemen every time Manning wanted to throw deep. But that's not why they lost. They win this game if Duane Starks has broken legs and can't get on the field. |

I think the second half is completely different if the Patriots aren't behind the 8-ball because Starks is useless. |

Belicheck was a genius when Weis and Crennel were calling his plays .... Without them he is 4-4. All the time too much credit to the head coach and not enough to the coordinators.

The only problem that I see is that the Colts have still yet to beat anybody in 2005 terms. Looking at their schedule, it looks like the Steelers will be the first team with a legit shot to beat them that they play.

The Pats did get massively owned last night. Forget the Duane Starks or anything else excuse, they just got beat up. I do think this team is way, way, too injured to do anything and I hope this doesn't sound like an excuse but these are not the Patriots we should be seeing. They're hurt all over. Someone other than Duane Starks wouldn't have made all that difference and honestly, you're quite silly if you think so.
But, if there's one thing I can't forgive, it's making a crack at Bruschi. Shame on you Seba, Shame.

JD hardly speaks for all Pats "fans". That's for sure.
I mean, what can you say? The defense looked atrocious. The Colts could do what they wanted, how they wanted, when they wanted. It was sickening, really. It's too bad. The injuries are finally starting to catch up to them. The defense can never got off the field on third down. Brady and the offense can only do so much. The Dillon fumble before the half was the killer. If the Pats punch it in it's tied. But instead they are down 14 and scrambling. The schedule gets easier. Only Tampa and Kansas City are over .500. They have 5 divisional games and New Orleans otherwise. That's a 10-6 team, hosting a Wild Card game (possibly against Pittsburgh?). But that's if they play true to form. After last night, I'm not holding my breath. |

It was definitely an a** whooping. But come on, not too many people gave the Pats much of a chance to beat the Colts given the ridiculous amount of injuries the Pats are going through. It wouldn't have mattered if Belichick had Crennell and Weis. You could have given him Vince Lombardi, George Halas and Don Shula, too. It wouldn't have mattered.
A well-coached group of cripples and back-ups is not a good match up against a team like the Colts.
