Sparkys:First Open Teams in a while
After a couple of seasons with no turnover--SL has three open teams.
We have just completed the 2008 Season, having begun with CBL 2.1 in 2004. Last season we realigned into Two 15 team leagues (Mil back to the AL). Teams play 14 Games in their Division, 6 Games against remaining teams in their own league and 3 against each team in the other league except for a single 4 game set which rotates thru the opposite division (east v east etc) The sim schedule has been solid for the first 5 years--as this season begins I am in a transitional move from one location to another--Im moving my home and my business, but I expect to keep the league going strong. We sim every other day--5 games at a pop or once thru the rotation. Occasionally an off day in the schedule will mean a 6 game sim for some teams. The GMs are competitive and active--we have had no immature feuds or flame wars--just good natured trash talk now and then. In five years we have had five different champions. Open teams: Boston Baltimore Texas I will be posting the 2009 file tonight sometime before midnight--Id like very much to hold proceeding into the Free Agency period until these teams are filled. www.sparkysleague.com is the website My email addy is SparkysLG@aol.com contact me there if you are interested in one of these teams. Thanks Mick

Boston has been claimed--
Baltimore and Texas still open Texas is coming off a playoff year and has both the current Cy Young winner and MVP on the roster Baltimore--needs a steady hand to right the ship

I have been in this league since the start (over a year ago), and it is a great league. Fantastic comish that is fair (as long as you are), dedicated and dam skilled.
We are also a great bunch of comish, the "bad apples" never stay long. I can honestly say that I have never been in a better league. Ragnar |

Definitely a very strong league. Sims are always prompt, and competition for playoff spots is tight.
C'mon on fellas, unless you're afraid

I searched long and hard for a good, strong OOTP league that had staying power ...and this is the best Ive seen. Playing OOTP for 3 years now and this is the best league I've ever had the pleasure of being in - hands down.
So if you are tired of leagues dying out because of lack of participation or tired of flakey GMs not responding to emails/PMs, join up. I guarantee you that you won't come across that in Sparkys. Everyone is in it to win it. Josh PS. Someones gotta jump on Texas. One of the most talented teams in the league!
