How do Performance Points work im confused?

I must admit im totally confused how performance points now work. Sometimes fighters gain resonable gains and losses if a 100 or so points and then out of the blue they gain a massive amount for a win like 990 or something or only lose 20 for a loss.

Can someone explain how they work now because I dont see the logic.

i had the same question earlier without an answer...hopefully someone has a way to fix this.

When last asked, Jim said he'd think about explaining it but honestly I don't see him coming off of it. I believe after they get the German language thing and the server worked out, they will be working on a new ranking system.

This is just a problem that we have not solved yet. The winning performance points are currently based on 1000 minus opponents adjusted ranking and so it does result in some big numbers. The loss is not based on 1000 so the numbers are less. Right now it is just a mess and we have to start from scratch to come up with a viable system. Eventually we will get it right - thanks for the patience.
