Banner help please... :)

First thanks for taking the time to help me out!!!

I would like a banner...not sure the size, maybe something like 4lg x 1wd (dont know what that is in graphic designer lingo). Basically, it s throw-back banner if you will. If you could include these things...

-A catchy background color and design scheme.
-3 players... Carlton Fisk, Ted Williams and Dwight Evans.
-Somewhere on the banner include the text "FenwayFaithful" in fancy text

Hey Benchwarmer, did you ever get any help with this? I'm feeling in a very helpful mood these days. If you still need something could you point me in the direction of the website this banner will be displayed at? This will help me to get the dimensions and bg colors right.

Ok....here's my first stab at a banner. I don't know what the standard protocol on banners is...but this one is 800x150.

First one has a white border around...which you can't see in the link and the second one is with no border.

Thanks a lot....I kinda like the second ones I made. Don't think I'd be any good at logos since I don't have photoshop.....just wanted to try and see if I could come up with something. Wasn't trying to intrude on you.

I like the "busy" ones better, too.

Just a suggestioin: Is it possible to make Ted Williams in color?

It is fine like it is, but my taste would be for him to be in color.

Actually, it is what benchwarmer would like...it is his thread.
