Have you figured out a way to implement the new system for internet leagues without going 30 rounds? Will there be an alternative system or one with fewer rounds? For solo play I like the 20 round system but IMHO it would be a bit much for an internet league preseason (we go almost two weeks just running the current 5 round system). How do other on-line players feel?

I'm real sorry about misspelling your name in the subject. I'm so embarrassed - I actually went by Markus (with a K) for a while in school.

Here's what I plan to do in Glory Days: Make each round spread out over 6 days in the game. Using that method, 5 rounds would last the 30 days in the game. Just take the bids for Round 1 and imput them over Days 1-6 in the FA process.
The only problem I see is that with v3, people are signed in Rd1. With v4, they won't be signed until after all 5 rounds are complete. Maybe you'll get emails from the players about what they think of your bid or something. |

Another related question: will we be able to import bid files? (Hint, hint, hint!)

They would then create an export file with just their own bids and send the commissioner that file. Teh commissioner would then be able to import all of the offers into his copy of OOTP. This would save a lot of typing and time for teams which are making a large numebr of offers. I know we can already do tis with spring training. Expending this feature to allow owners to enter their won free agent bids would be a time save for those teams which fully use OOTP's free agent system.

yeah this would be helpful in a time saving effort. And it would elimate error by human commisioners which would cause owners to ripp them apart etc. etc.
