Las Vegas Casino League Logos

Since there's not much going on around here at the moment but folks still need something new to look at every now and again, here are the logos I made for my Las Vegas Casino League.

Background...

It has two leagues, La Reve and The Rat Pack. Each league has two divisions; the High Rollers Division and the VIP Division (sometimes called the Red Division). The league championship series is known as the High Card Series and the "world series" is the Casino Series. The postseason award for best player is the Silver Stickman Award, for pitchers its the Platinum Dealer Award. Fielding awards are known as the Golden Nugget Awards but the best rookie is stuck with simply Rookie of the Year. All of the managers are named after people with some connection to gambling or Las Vegas casinos or shows (Elvis, Wayne Newton, Pete Rose, Howard Hughes, Liberace, etc, etc...) and all ballparks likewise (Frank Sinatra Field, Dean Martin Stadium, Wynn Memorial Field, Shark Reef, etc etc etc). The minor league team names are those of real MLB teams.... for example the New York Yankees is the AAA club for New York New York.

A very fine set of logos, jdew.

When it comes to graphics, you are hard to beat.

Yeah it is kinda slow. That's why I posted them... give folks something to look at over here. Glad you found them interesting.

Its all a bit tongue-in-cheek... but since I've not had much luck in getting interested in fictional leagues, I thought the sort of league where I spend as much time maintaining an odd or unique back story as anything else might work. So far, it is. Its in its third season.

I think my favorites of this bunch are for the Tropicana Showgirls (logo16)... she's from an old Sahara ad... and the Aladdin Genies (logo18), though the rest aren't too shabby either.... Of course The Rat Pack league's logo was a natural... and the $100 baccarat chip from the Wynn seems to work just right for the other league.
