ISBL looking for 2 GMs

The ISBL (http://www.isbl.ootpsims.com/) is currently looking for 2 dedicated GMs to take over the following franchises:

Detroit (88-74): Detroit missed the playoffs by 3 games this year. With a little TLC they could be a serious contender. The pitching staff was 5th in ERA and the offense was 4th in HR.

Atlanta (56-106): Atlanta is semi-rebuilding but they have a stud in John Shivers (.293, 23/90) who is only 26 years old. Atlanta also sports the #2 farm system in the ISBL which combined with our winterball feature could have this team being a serious wild card contender, sooner rather than later.

We are a 30-team "real" league that uses OOTP 6.5

We are currently in the offseason preparing to being the 2009 season (league started 2004), so, if you get in now you'll have plenty of time to mold your team for the upcoming season. I am tentatively slating the beginning of Free Agency for Friday (10/7).

This is a very active league both with participation and on the message boards. I think we could create a 2 page thread talking about peanut butter and jelly. Seriously, this league would be great for both beginners and veterans, so, come check us out.

If interested, email me the usual info (name, AIM, experience, etc) to pmarkel2@yahoo.com and I'll get back to you as soon as I can.

Thanks

Great league even if I am a bit biased, very active GM's, winterball, prediction competion and possibly with an upcoming college league so you get a better outlook on the draft class. Both teams that are open just need that final push to be competative.

P.S. Tell them Troika sent you and say to them "give him the damn incentive points"

I'd be interested in Atlanta if their still available. Or the Tigers secondly if their the only one left. Am currently in SSBL as Twins GM in first place in my division. -Pixelfader@stillframestudios.com

Detroit has been filled.

I am waiting to hear back from a potential owner that I offered the Atlanta position to. I'm pretty sure he is going to take the job.

Thank you to everyone that applied. I will post here if any new positions become available.

Marlins have probably opened up, I'd hurry as we are at the start of our draft and the Marlins have a few picks. Great league, great commish and co-commish and a group of great GM's with many things in the league like winterball and prediction comp to keep your interest.

P.S. Tell them Troika sent you and give him some incentive points

Yes, the Marlins are definitely open. The Brave may be open as well. We have an offer outstanding to a potential GM, but he has not responded.

If you'd like either of these great franchises, get in touch with us.

Give this a bump, reason being we are into our rookie draft and the Marlins are on the clock. Imagine if you take over this team you can actually start to get this team on the right track within seconds of taking over them, I doubt theres many open team out there were you can take over them and within seconds make a draft pick. Great league 50% original GM's in a league thats been running well over a year, over 50% have been with us a year now. Also one of the most active boards around, we have winterball, prediction competions for incentive points and you can also build your own stadium to how you want it.

Bump...

We still need owners for Florida and Atlanta.

Round 2 of free agency is 10/9 at Noon EST. After that we will be on Day 9 in Free Agency, so there's still plenty of time to get in and sign some guys to your squad.

Plus, as Troika pointed out we are only in the beginning stages of the draft, so, you can pretty much come in and start adding your own pieces to either of these teams.
