FTP not working for 6.12 (I'm stumped!)
Here's a stumper...
We recently moved to a new host. The FTP port for this host is 9021. So, I reconfigure ootp to hit that new host. site: ftp.newhost.com username: username password: ********** starting dir: / port: 9021 I click "TEST CONNECTION" and it comes back "Successful!" So then I go to team setup and I click "export team to FTP" and the result? I see "Setting up connection" for a few seconds following by "FAILED." So... I haul out wsftp and I enter the EXACT same information. I try to connect - I connect. I try to ftp my file, bingo, it works. I can see "TEAM6.EXP" on the site. I remove the file from the site, go back to OOTP6 and try to ftp - FAILED. ? I check the "test connection" button again, no problems. So I am a little confused as to what the issue might be... does the export function just assume port 21 instead of using the 9021 I entered? Thanks!

yeah.. nothing seems to work with this new host.
Right now I'm playing with directories. I created a directory called "EXPIMP" in the league folder, but when I try to connect to it (using : folder: /EXPIMP) the test connection button no longer works. So I'm not sure where my connection is going.

![]() ===================== Okay... I figured it out. The hosting company is properly "chowning" me to a directory - so when i log in using ftp program it automatically changes my directory to my own directory. For some reason, when I log in using OOTP, the chown does not work. So when I am trying to export to "/" I guess I'm trying to export to the root of the host (!) I had to put the full messy directory in that variable (/home/httpd/www.newhost.com-80/html/username/). Adding that allowed the test connection to work, and I was able to once again export to FTP. I find it very odd that OOTP's ftp connection is not "chowned" like all other FTP connections. I'm sure my host is wondering why I'm trying to upload to their root directory!
