Free agency problems?
I'm in a new career league (in year 3), using patch 6.5a. During the last season, I noticed that a bunch of minor leaguers were identified as being "Minor league contract (FA next year)". I go to re-sign them, and they all agree to minor league contract extension, and is so noted on the salary page. But the "Possible Free Agents" screen under News still had them as being free agents and--voila--I lost them all when the season was over. Is that supposed to happen? I have over a dozen minor leaguers in this season also identified as possible free agents, even though they all agreed to minor league contract extensions. I'd hate to lose them when this year is over too.

"you can't sign those guys to MLC's you either have to give them a real contract or lose them. otherwise there is no point in having MLFA turned on.."
I understand, but when I right mouse click to offer a contract--even a major league one--the player says "I will agree to a minor league contract", and the salary page notes the extension. I don't recall having this happen (minor league extensions that don't mean anything) in version 6. Thanks.<!-- / message --><!-- sig --> |
