6.5 crashing at month end

Has anyone else had a problem with this?

I have been having the game lock-up at the end of the month, just after the bar for Scheduling Promos has finished. I have tried it on both of my home PCs, but it happens the same way for both. I have disabled sound and 3D on both machines, and have tried cancelling all other running programs except Explorer (not IE). I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the programs as well.

My machine specs are as follows:

Desktop PC
Windows 98 SE
320 MB RAM
AMD K6-3D processor
Virtual memory enabled

Laptop PC
Windows 98 SE
184 MB RAM
AMD K6-III processor
Virtual memory enabled

Never had any problems with 6.12, BTW.

Any help would be great, thanks!

ADD:
Are the system req's different for 6.5? Does it really use that much more processor time? I don't remember reading about it when the info for 6.5 came out, and haven't seen any updated reqs. I wouldn't think that a modified version would change the program's processing needs that much. Like I said, I never had any such problems with version 6.12

My guess is that it is your OS along w/ small amounts of RAM. I've simmed seasons, weeks, months, etc w/o incident.

Is it one league that keeps crashing? Have you tried running other leagues?

I've ran OOTP 6.12 on Windows ME with less RAM than that w/o problems.
