Foreign Minor Leaguers
I know we can sign foreigners that come over to MLB big league ready, but what about a period in the offseason that just focuses on signing amateur foreign players much like what happened with roberto alomar, rafael furcal, andruw jones, orlando cabrera, jose reyes, pedro martinez and a number of other high caliber players. Maybe a better idea although not as realistic would be to have a seperate amateur draft for foreign players. On the other hand the realism of having to spend money on a foreign scout would also be pretty cool. Everyone give a shout out and we'll find out if many people think this would be important.

In OOTP6.5 some of the foreign players coming to your league are 18 or 19 years old. So yes, you can sign foreign Minor Leaguers.

hm, im afraid im going to have to dispute that because i just got to the free agent signing period of a season and there were no free agent prospects from a foreign country that hadn't already played the previous season for some mlb team. in fact i looked over the free agent pool and didnt see one major league ready foreigner.

one thing i hate is how their will be venezulian or dominican players in the draft but on the scouting reports it'll say someone name Luis Lopez (pick a latin name) is from Omaha Nebraska then u click on the player profile & it will say he's from Venezuela or wherever
