halofan roster set

i am using the latest halofan roster set in a solo league and some of my online leagues as well. it seems that the ratings are placed pretty high for guys that are resultwise poor players. i seem to have a number of players especially at mr that have talent ratings like 7-9-8 and are 1 star players and perform like 1 star players. also in the minors i take a lot of 2 blue star sp's and change them to mr's and they go to 5 blue stars. is there a way to interpret the talent ratings?

The stars are based on the players talent vs. the other players in the league at his position.

This is why a 1 star SP would become a 4 star MR.
