Has anyone ever tried this?

I am looking to start a league (solo) that would take 28-30 of the best teams of all time. You know, the '27 Yanks, '75 Reds, '79 Pirates etc. and play them against each other. Is this possible? If so, can someone tell me step-by-step how I would do this? Please talk to me like I'm a 4-year old since I am very computer illiterate when it comes to pretty much everything.

Thanks for any help!

I'm pretty sure the new Pierre Utility is exactly what you need to do this. Although I have no expierence in it. But to the best of my knowledge you'll have to make the 28 history leagues and then import them from there. But I won't say any more beacuse I don't much more than the fact that its possible because of Pierre.

Its possible.. you only need to use the import team dialogue from the League Setup screen to do it.

You'll need to create a Ficitonal League. Then go to the League Setup Screen and use the import team dialogue. I then believe you need to enter the team's Lahman ID, and the year and they'll be imported.

However I'm not super familiar with the process so I am likely missing a couple of steps. So hopefully someone more familiar with the process can step in and help you out at this point.

that's pretty much it, you'll need to create the league then delete the teams from within the league setup menu after the league is created. Then just import the teams from Lahman's. When you go to import the teams, you need to put in the year first (even though the team is listed first) then it will prompt you for the team from the valid teams for that year. I did it when I first got OOTP and had a fun time running one of the teams. When you have tremendous talent against tremendous talent anything can happen.

Good Luck,

Maybe you can post on the Dynasty board some of the results.
