Around The Horn, est. 2003 is looking for a Pirates owner
Around the Horn was created soon after the release of OOTP 5. We are in the offseason of our 10th season, and 5th season using OOTP 6. We currently are using OOTP 6.5a!
We sim Mondays and Thursdays pre-trading deadline, and expand to 3 sims a week post-trading deadline. We try to add as many of the extras as possible, BOSI, Catobase, as well as having the GM's vote for things such as All-Star teams, All-Star venues, and all of the end of season awards with the exception of the Rolaids Relief award. We use Corranto as a way for GM's to post their own team or league news articles if they wish. There generally is atleast one or two new articles written each sim. Whether you are a GM who is looking for good OOTP competition, solid writing, developing history, or most importantly...a GM who is looking for solid, stable league that you can count on to be around...to be fair...and who always listens to new ideas and ways to make the league even that much better...the Around the Horn league is for you. We currently have the Pirates available. To check out our site: www.ath.ootp-online.com If you are interested, or just have questions, contact the league office at: ath@elbb.com

Just a little more info on the Pirates....
The Pirates are coming two straight winning seasons....(their only winning seasons in the 9 seasons to date). They have a low payroll of 44.6 mil. They have one of the best SP in the ATH in Jerome Willaims RAT: 10/9/10 TAL: 10/10/10 and at 30 years old signed for 3 more seasons....it certainly gives you something to build around or something of huge trade value if you prefer that route. |

This is a great league and both co-commish's, Matt and Brian, do a stellar job of moving things along. Plus they keep the league fresh by bringing revolutionary concepts to the league.
Many of the owners are old-timers like me who are committed to keep this league like the Energizer Bunny ..... we just keep going and going.

There can be no questioning the commitment made by Matt & Brian to this league. You won't be disappointed if you give it a try.
