Building New Stadiums/Re-locating
Hi Guys,
I'm trying to establish rules for my online league. Is there a generic rule when it comes to create new stadiums or re-locating teams, or is it something decided that is league specific? When you do decide to change a stadium/city, how is it done? What factors must be considered from both a financial and gameplay perspective? Any input would be appreciate, I tried searching online, but couldn't anything with real depth on the topic. Thanks in advance. |

The game, by itself, doesn't impose any financial penalties (or, conversely, bestow any financial benefits) towards building a new stadium or relocating.
Generally speaking, teams these days don't privately fund new ballparks anyways - often they are (at least partially) government of publicly financed, which doesn't have a tremendous effect on the pocketbook of the ballclub. And, generally speaking, any financial loss suffered by a ballclub when a new stadium is built may well be offset by the increased fan interest and resulting attendance boost. As far as how to do it? Just go into team setup and change the name of the team. Boom, your team has moved. New stadium? Just go into Edit Ballpark and make a new stadium, then assign it to the team in the Team Setup. |
