Stickware 4.1 scheduling problems.

Hey everyone.

I'm trying to set-up a schedule using Stickware 4.1 and I'm having some issues.

30 teams, 2L, 2D (7/7, 8/8). I want to create an unbalanced schedule with interleague play.

Stickware would create the schedule, but Baltimore's schedule is only 152 games, with zero home games against one AL-West team.

What's going on?

I got it to work. I did get an error and had to check the stop after 1st solution found box but the final schedule looked fine. What were the settings for number of interleague series and number of games against divisional opponents?

I tried it with 15 intradivision games & 18 intradivision games and 6 interleague series.

Both settings came up short on games, and unbalanced number of games against divisional opponents.

That's odd. Here's what I got w/ 15 divisional games and 6 interleague series and here's the 18 divisional games report.

I attached the exported schedules. Let me know if they work OK.

OK, total newbie questions here. I've never worked with these schedule files before, but I'm in Paul07's league and I'd like to see us get a realistic schedule with out set-up, if we can. I ran stickware on our set-up and like gubaru, got a schedule. However the games are unbalanced within divisions. Yanks playing 3 more games against Boston than against Baltimore, etc.

My question is, does this program create a file that I can edit manually before importing it into OOTP? Anything I should know in advance, or be aware of so that I don't create an unusable mess? I'm thinking I'd let the program have a go at it to get a basic structure then modify it to balance it the way we'd like it.

Or would it be better to just start from scratch? Any programs, file formats, spreadsheets to make that easier?

I could layout on paper what I'd like to see, then I could drop that into a calendar to make a real looking schedule. Just don't know how to get that effort into the game.

Thanks

Tom

Check here for good scheduled. GMO is also very responsive and extremely helpful in creating new schedules too.

Use the program to create the schedule.dat file and then do a csv export from the edit schedule screen. That will give you a file like the one above. To modify the schedule, the format is day # (1-365(6)), away team, home team, start time. Once you're done making the changes you want, go back to the setup screen and choose csv import.

Seeing your problem and not having made anything for that configuration, I was able to churn out something before heading out for a long holiday weekend. The "7788" versions will fit your league configuration if you want to use them. The link to them is below.

You just saved me a whole lot of time. I've been slogging through this making a schedule, but hopefully this will make the league happy.

Thanks!
