NABL Initial Draft

NABL initial draft is up. Who would you guys take #1 overall?

Cy Young - 33, stud ace pitcher
Jack Chesbro
Christy Mathewson
Vic willis
Nap Lajoie - 26 years old, amazing hitter
Honus Wagner - 27
Sam Crawford - 20

I'd have gone for Mathewson (as did the Phillies) 3 man rotations and all those complete games make good starters absolutely essential.

Round 1 Early Picks:

NL Philadelphia Phillies - Christy Mathewson SP
AL Chicago White Sox - 1B Nap Lajoie
NL Boston Braves - Jack Chesbro SP
AL St. Louis Browns - 1B Honus Wagner
NL New York Giants - Cy Young SP
NL St. Louis Cardinals - Noodles Hahn SP
Washington Senators - Vic Willis SP

As the White Sox, I had to take Nap after losing out on Christy. There are so many good, young SPs available, that I dont really forsee not being able to grab at least one in Round 2-3. But, there arent many truly exceptional hitters, and Nap is one of them. You can pencil in 180+ hits every season for the next 15 years or so....
