Can someone please tell me how to obtain a "Local Starting Directory" for ootp6

I am trying to use the games ftp software...But it keeps on saying my local starting directory is invalid...So it will not upload.

Do you have a web host?

If so, is it a paid web host which supports ftp?

yes it is homestead..

Then you've already obtained what you need.

Just create a directory in your web site. The tell OOTP where to load everything.

Example:

www.webhost.me.com/league/

"/league" would be my directory where I would tell OOTP to put everything.

If you still have trouble. You may have to pay for premiume services to get the web space and ftp support you need.

Ok....so my main page is titled this

http://obl.homestead.com/indexhtml.html

so i can go to the standings page on my site....make that link league.html

go to ootp6 and for the local directory i can put

http://obl.homestead.com/indexhtml.html/league.html

I have premium service....I bought it today.....i put in /league.html didn't work.....

I tried them both guys...I have no idea..I know homestead has ftp service..and i have gold service..

Could not find directory on server...keeps on saying that...But i noticed that ootp adds a / before my other words

like when i type in http://obl.homestead.com/league.html
ootp adds a / b4 the http

My bad - do it like this:

obl.homestead.com/league/

Just leave the / that OOTP puts in

/oble.homestead.com/league/ cannot find server...

No i put in obl...

I know how to do it on ftp, but it seems so much easier on the games ftp.....ill keep trying...

OK. Let's gather a little info.

Open up a command prompt (if you're on Windows Start->Run and type "cmd").
Do the following:

ftp ftp.homestead.com
<type your username and password at prompts>
ls

This should give you a directory listing. Paste that listing into a reply to this thread for some further help...
