There is hand speed then there is Mayweather speed. Mayweather's speed knob goes to 11

On any given night one punch from ANY fighter can end it. Mayweather will get "Roy Jones'd" befroe too long and it will be at 140.

I bought the ppv because i love boxing. I buy all of them except for Tyson's. I like Mayweather, always have, but just like Ali I want to see him get cracked once.
By the way Eric, it is Brooks not Brook. |

Thats the funniest thing ive heard "Hatton gets destroyed by Mayweather".
Hatton is a young fresh fighter unlike Gatti who has been in countless wars. Yes Floyd looked excellent but Hatton gets Destroyed!!! Once again I dont think so lady. LOL |

Well I gotta eat crow on this one....
I haven't seen the fight yet, but before the fight I would have said that Mayweather was the most overrated fighter in the entire business. He was the American Prince Naseem Hamed. His alleged amazing defense is actually not only non-existant, but inferior to the average fighter and his only strength is a fast right. I thought if he won this fight, I would change my opinion of him, but I haven't seen it yet and must only think that he's probably the 2nd best 140 lber in the business. |

Max does know his stuff but almost seemed giddy @ times last night. He had that sweet gig on ESPN2 & gave that away. Not too many PPV dates to begin with & Manny won't have to worry about doing a PPV fight in Vivian's corner any time soon. |

The only top notch fighter Hatton as beaten was Tszyu, and that was with alot of help from the ref. Hatton was impressive that night but it was against a 35 year old who had fought 9 rounds in 3 years. Mayweather fought the best at 130, the best at 135. My guess is the two will never meet because Hatton won't leave Manchester to fight and Mayweather shouldn't have to go there. Hatton will continue to fight stiffs until he is somehow forced to leave Manchester. Hatton-Mayweather would be better than Gatti-Mayweather but in the end the result would be the same, maybe Hatton would get to the 8th or 9th round. |

With the "lady" bit i was joking thats why i put LOL after my message.
I dont think Mayweather beats Hatton, yes he beat Tysu who i tought was past his sell by date but Hatton is a terrific body puncher and thats i think he beats Mayweather. Sure Mayweather is as fast as hell but Hatton body punches will slow him down a lot. However its a fight that has to be made. And Mr Harris can forget it, i have never seen such a crap fight. How the other bloke is champ ill never know!!. |

where did you hear hatton did not want to leave manchester. He said the other day he would fight in America. Everyone knows who hatton is now so it will be interesting should the fight be made.
And the one thing i cant stand about Mayweather despite his Talent he is just too OTT at times. Id like to see Cotto Mayweather first. |

Andy I bet you would want to see Floyd vs. Cotto first, so hatotn can keep his belts alittle longer!!!
I heart Hatton on Sky, and I heard the fear in his voice, he was like mayweather is pure class, and all that ****, He know what he got infront of him, he aint leacing UK unless he gonna fight a bum. |

Lets not all get excited about Ricky Hatton beating Mayweather. Mayweather is no old Kosta Mayweather could go to Manchester and get on PPV and make Ricky Hatton look like a club fighter he is in no way a good enough boxer to fight with Mayweather

Fantasy Fight
A prime Pernell Whitaker against the prime Floyd Mayweather.... who wins?
I can't help but see the similarities in the two fighters. Im sure Im not alone. Mayweather gets an edge in power, but Whitaker gets the edge in just about every other category... especially defense. I would pick Pernell 9 out of 10 times.

Stunning performance from Mayweather.
Personally I can't see Mayweather and Hatton in a ring together, reading between the lines in the press over here it looks like Warren is already lining up another 'jub' for his boy. Based on the 'formbook', Mayweather must be no.1 ranked in the division, he has fought far better names than Hatton. However, as much as most of us admire Gatti, in my opinion he has always been overrated, victories over Branco, Dorin and Leija? Looks like he's been managed by Warren himself. To compare Gatti and Hatton as of 'similar' standard would I think be a major error. Hatton is near or nearing his prime and cuts withstanding would not get rolled over anywhere near as easily as Gatti, unfortunately I can't see the two of them getting in the ring together.
