Lahman - wrong teams, which file to edit?

I apologize if this is answered elsewhere - I did several searches and couldn't find the answer, but I'm hoping someone knows the answer quickly....

I'm doing a historical season using lahman 4.5 - Imports fine, except both NYs, Chicago, KC, SF, STL, LA, and KC rosters are empty (players are FAs).

Obviously - the IDs are mismatched.... I really want to avoid doing the "sign FA" thing if possible... Which file should I edit in the db to move players to the correct team?

I'll be doing drafts following my initial season (1981) - so I just need to correct the import for the first season.

Thanks in advance!

You might consider trying some of the altered databases:

Ankit Revised Database:

Gambo Revised Database:

Most of the changes that have been made make them more accurate and useable.

Did you change the team IDs (3 letter abbreviation) in the game during the league setup? If so that is the cause of the problem. The game assigns the players to the teams by checking the Lahman Team ID with the one in OOTP. If you change the team IDs (three letter abbreviation) then the game will not be able to figure out what team to place the rookies on.

It's generally a good idea to leave the ids as they are no matter how ugly they look, to avoid this issue in historical leagues (unless you are having a draft, in which case the three letter ids won't matter since the game will dump the players in a draft pool rather than assigning them using the id).

Hope this helps.
