United States Baseball Assoc. Update!

There are some great things happening in the USBA! If you haven’t been by our league site lately, now is a great time to check things out! http://www.usba.ootp-leagues.com/

Will Philadelphia’s Jimmy Adams (.390, 46 HR, 133 RBI) win the Triple Crown? The slugging third-sacker leads the league in hitting and RBI by a long shot and is tied with Pittsburgh’s Denny Giles in home runs.

Will defending USBA Champ Memphis Riversharks end up at he top of the heap in a ferocious four team battle for the Liberty South title? Wichita, New Orleans, and San Antonio, along with Memphis, are all within three games of each other heading into the least week of August!

Will Memphis ace Marc Jacoby (16-4, 1.88 ERA) win the pitching Triple Crown (wins, ERA, and strikeouts)? He’s running away with the ERA and strikeout titles but faces stiff competition from Wichita’s Ward Johnson (16) and Denver’s Neil Maddux (15) for the league lead in wins.

Also, great stuff from our official league columnists:
Bi-weekly reports from the ESPN Sportcenter crew
Farm reports and draft reports from Joe Morgan & Rob Neyer
Articles, analysis, and commentary from Peter Gammons, Dave Campbell, & Rick Reilly
A new column featuring a side-by-side player comparison (argument!) between Jim Caple & Jason Stark!
And the newest bi-weekly column from the fellas at Pardon the Interruption, Michael Wilbon & Tony Kornheiser!

With so many writers working for the league, it really helps you immerse yourself in fictional league baseball! I don’t know of any other fictional league where so many of the ballplayers are well known throughout the league by all the team owners!

If you are a league lurker, like myself, the USBA is one you won't want to miss!

Actually, the Wizards are stinky too, but we have the best group of managers and columnists around.
Thanks to the commish for making this a great league to play in.

Scott,
What happened to your little Raiders against the great Drew Brees and the San Diego Chargers? I just wish my San Diego Surf could bring home the West crown like the Chargers are poised to do! Everyone should check out the league, a lot of fun, and damn interesting!
