Maybe return with a post that lets someone know whether any of the suggestions (and there were some) made any real difference at all, and if not what current state of problem still exists -- instead of returning to take a shot at folks. Can you try that?

If you look back on it, everyone (most everyone) was just trying to find a way to encourage you to seek help in a bit different way that might yield you better results.

I don't know where your files were generated, and while I'm thinking of it the idea someone mentioned earlier about possibly simply regenerating the files has a lot of merit (I'd delete or move the others first though).

Anyway, you might try downloading Batch Thumbs (a batch renaming utility) from http://harmware.com/bthumbs.htm

It's pretty self-explanatory and it only took me a few tries to learn how to do what I wanted it to do. You'll select the files you want to change and enter the new format or name you want them to take. It should be that simple.

But, as you've gathered, sometimes it's not. See what happens after you look the program and evaluate its worth to what you want to accomplish. But don't forget to maybe try regenerating those files. It's worth a shot.
