Federal Union Announces Pact with Pro Circuit!

The Federal Union has announced a pact with the Pro Circuit !

The Federal Union is a historical fictional league containing 8 teams and will begin in 1901 very soon!

The Union will run in the same season as the Circuit and will, among other things, serve as a league for owners to 'be on the waiting list' for the Pro Circuit. The two leagues will conclude their seasons at about the same time. While owners will not be required to leave the Union for the Circuit should vacancies arise in the senior circuit, those who are interested in the brand of ball the Circuit offers may use it as a training ground for future Circuit ownership.

The Union was begun in 1890 and 11 seasons have been simmed and included in its CatoBase!

After 11 seasons, winning pcts of its 8 clubs range from .492 to .520, so parity has been achieved.

All clubs have won their league crown by now.

The Union will feature:
--specialized name files that give era correct player names
--86 game schedule (with interleague play)
--specialized injury file that includes death, suspensions, and league-jumping
--no financials, but a 'protection draft' after each season
--Deadball era settings/outcomes
--tweaked progression of amateurs to allow for the short season
--fictional managers who can be hired/fired by the owner
--2 sims per week

Players, at any time through the injury file, may jump leagues.

If you like the Circuit, then you're Union material!

Drop me an email if you'd like to be a Union owner which could turn into a spot in the Professional Circuit at volunteer1967@hotmail.com

If you have a love for old time base ball AND a fictional world, the Union/PC are right for you!

I will not be an owner in this league and Circuit owners will not own in this league unless it is not filled from the 'non Circuit' world.

The league will begin with the 1901 amateur draft (file up soon) so there'll be no long, drawn out initial draft. We'll be simming soon!

Hopefully, when v7 comes out, this league will be incorporated into the same league file as the PC, bringing the two leagues even closer together!

Future expansion of the PC COULD come from the Union clubs.

Thanks for taking the time to read this lengthy description.

You are missing out on a great opportunity if you don't give this league a chance.

One more bump before we assign teams and start simming!

If you have interest, we still need a couple solid owners.

Could have filled more teams, but the size of the league will be one of its strong points.
