Negro League?

I've downloaded Cooley's Negro League Database. What year do I put down for starting year, that is, if I can. Can I even have a negro league?

You can have a negro league just input whatever year, you want. It should be true to life so if you pick 1930 it should generate the 1930 nego leagues

It won't create the teams, etc., but it should give you the Negro Players that came up in that year.

You know, I don't remember creating a NL db...........other than the UBL league files that I created yearly way back when.

What, exactly, did you download?

Found them................2001!! Wow, that's been a while!!

That's not near as complete as it could be, but contains most of the name players of the time covered.

Its not enough to have a full league with, but it's a starting point.

so I've tried multiple years as the import year, and gotten no luck. what is the earliest year I can put in?

I have the 'pre fantasy draft' league file that I created that includes MLB, NL, and PCL players that I could get to you if you'd like to start with that.

Then you could use my db or create the subsequent players yourself and be good to go.

That'd save you alot of work to start off with.
