Markus,

I'm sorry to keep bringing this up in every 6.5 thread I can find - but I'm hoping you were able to work something out with the whole "Import Real Rookies" deal at the beginning of a season. Some people who run fictional leagues never want it to come up; others (like me) were frustrated that it stopped asking "Import Real Rookies" after 2002 even though my Lahman data for years beyond that is ready to go. I looked through the features list, but nothing about this was mentioned. I'm just curious if this was touched on at all.

Regardless, the features added for 6.5 sound fantastic and I'll be lined up to buy it when it's released.

Thanks!

Wish I had mentioned this earlier but I would love to see the team totals be added to the batting, hitting, and fielding report.

I think the issue still remains a bit ambiguous. I don't use roster sets myself, but this post (http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...16&postcount=5) seems to infer that a pop up will quiz you about whether you want to be asked or not regarding the rookie import. I say ambiguous because I'm not so clear as to whether you can change your mind in future years if you say "No, don't ask me," in any given year.

Then again, this may not be relative to your particular question at all. It's a FWIW.

Heh... yeah the "Ask again?" or whatever it is is a separate issue from what I'm talking about - although I agree that it is a bit confusing.

My beef is that even if I've told it to always ask, once it gets past a certain year (I believe after 2002), it just stops asking to import real rookies - presumably because when it was coded, Lahman stats for 2003 and beyond weren't available yet. I would just like that to be tweaked to allow it to keep asking for future years if desired. Otherwise, I have to manually locate each player who debuted that year and import him by his id one at a time - which can get pretty old by the 100th player.

Anyway - hoping Markus touched on this somehow. Guess we'll find out soon!

There is no front office AI in the game, that's why you don't see people getting fired but wouldn't you like to see the Hitting Coach or a Scouting Director get fired in season if they are doing bad and making the team worser then they are!
Then take the days we allready have in the offseason and put them on the day they happen in real life then so we can sim 365 days meaning Rule 5 Draft,Arbertrations and so on
Oct.-Nov. TBA Free agent filing period, first 15 days after World Series ends.
Arbitration because it happens in the game but you can't see it because it haapens when you proceed to next season and I would like to see who reject Salary Arbitration, Exchange of salary arbitration figures and
Salary arbitration hearings among others to
Dec. 7 Last day for teams to offer salary arbitration to their former players who became free agents.
Dec. 19 Last day for free agents offered salary arbitration to accept or reject the offers.
Dec. 20 Last day for teams to offer contracts to unsigned players.
Jan 5-15 Salary arbitration filing doesn't happen when I sim on thru these dates
Jan 8 Last day until May 1 for free agents who rejected arbitration offers to re-sign with their former teams but we can change the date after the Spring Training is over to 1-1 but when gets up to this date none of my free-agent re-sign as no of
Jan 18 Exchange of salary arbitration doesn't happen when I sim on this date Feb. 1-21 Salary arbitration hearings doesn't happen when I sim on thru these dates
Does anybody know why the College Draft doesn't last 2 days/same amount of rounds yet like in real life and why can't we sign the draft picks to a contract yet like in NHL Eastside Hockey Manger 2005 because then we wouldn't have players or pitchers who are drafted in the last rounds get released so quickly? You would take the Unsigned Prospects Screen that in NHL Eastside Hockey Manager 2005 and put it in this game but in a baseball format but the only pitchers and players on the screen would be from the last years College draft that happened and when its get to a certain I beleive at the end of May or the start of June if the person isn't signed before that date he would have to reenter the up coming College Draft and when you sign the draft picks they would go to your Single-A team beacuse Rookie Ball teams aren't in the game yet but if you draft a High Schooler he coulds go right to the Majors when you sign him
Wouldn't you people like to relocate your team is they can't get new stadium built like lets say the Marlins don't get a new one built could move the team to let say Orlando or Monterry,Mexico!
I hope this is in version 7 or patch for 6.5 the option to move your minor teams to another citiy like the Cardinals did with their Double-A team moved then from Tennessee to Springield,MO!
I would like to see in Transactions showing that a player or pitcher was aquired in a wavier Trade!

-FWIW-

Relocation in this game is as simple as changing your team name and stadium on the Team Setup screen (for both the majors and the minors). As it stands right now the city name is just a field and you can edit the weather for the teams stadium to reflect the new location.

As it stands right now after the draft players go immediately to A Ball, but you do have the option of promoting them right away.

It's not so easy to code things. You can't just type something in and it's magically suddenly there. Plus, even after you put just ONE feature in, it has to be tested time and time again in different situations to make sure it works all the time. Those features are all nice, but to implant all (or even half) of those in the game would take a VERY long time.

for online leagues........Please, oh please, add 1 last thing....

allow GMs to delete their own emails and make them stick. its a BPITA for the commish to have to go thru all the teams multiple times each season and erase emails. some GMs like to save certain emails (contract resigns, etc.), but delete others (injury over, trade offers, etc.) and thats even tougher for a commish to handle.

I didnt read this whole thread so if this was asked, forgive me.

For the milestone tracker, is there a way to set the parameters for what is a milestone? I have a league where 3,000 hits isn't a realistic milestone for a player. Is there a way to set it so the game recognizes different numbers than the typical MLB milestone numbers?

It already recognizes lower numbers. The minimums to show up on the milestone tracker are pretty low. Here's what I *think* they are. The second number is the interval tracked. In other words, the 1500, 500 under K's means that it starts tracking when a pitcher is approaching 1,500 K's, and also considers 2000, 2500, 3000, 3500, 4000, 4500, 5000, etc. as milestones.

HOMERS: 300, 100
HITS: 2000, 500
RUNS: 1000, 500
RBI: 500, 500
BB: 500, 500
SB: 300, 100
W: 150, 50
K: 1500, 500
SV: 200, 50
G: 600, 100
