Long time league looking for owners
The 4OTP (look under the OOLB forum) has been around since OOTP4's release and still retains many of it's original owners. We started out as a real team/real player league back in the 2002 season and are currently in the 2014 season. A lot of the original players have retired but we still have the original 30 MLB teams. We're using the latest version of OOTP6 these days. See here for our various rules.
Unfortunately, it has been over three years since we formed and turnover does occur. For some teams more than others it seems. All of the teams that currently need owners are going to need some work as a few of them have been rudderless for a while. The Orioles, Devil Rays, Athletics and Pirates all need owners. You can find our export here. The Orioles have two of the best players in the league in Fausto Henriquez (SP) and Quintin Laux (OF) but aside from a good closer they don't have much else. They're a team that made a run for a few seasons at the expense of their minor leagues and as the team got older they haven't been able to recover. They won 96 games two years ago but only 83 last season and without an owner to rebuild them they are the worst team in the league, though they have had their share of bad injuries. Tampa Bay has been ownerless for several seasons but does have some good prospects in the minors. Nothing to push them into contention, but a solid core to build around if they develop. They are also a very old major league club (there's a trend here). Tampa Bay has been taken. With some work Oakland could probably be a division contender again. They have a few stars but need some starting pitching help. Their minor league system doesn't have much help on the way at all, so this is probably yet another team worth rebuilding or at least restocking with a few trades and free agent pickups. Oakland has been taken. The Pirates have some good young players but the starting rotation is in shambles. They also have a few albatross contracts to deal with, but those will be off the books this year and next. They are also in the same division as the Chicago Cubs and that alone makes this a great challenge. The Cubs are the big traders in the league who always have a ton of young talent, and some would say too much. Good luck beating them. Last edited by Kelric; 06-10-2005 at 05:11 PM. |

i would be more than willing to take on the task of reviving the buccos just as long as the players progression and creation modifiers are set high enough for me to build with.

nevermind...
I had wanted to take over the A's but I think I am too busy to be able to be in an Online league right now.

I don't see us changing them any time soon, if ever. You may be out of luck.

Bump for the weekday crowd and to mention that our trading deadline is coming up in a week or so real time so now's the chance to get in there and do some work.
