Both are outstanding...will be tough to choose one.

#1...excellent...really like inclusion of the horse figure for Ky Derby legends...logo connects very well with Louisville's heritage...fine contrast...all elements show up well.

Being my usual very picky self...I would like for Louisville to be larger...it would show up better on the OOTPB game screens better.

Still it is very fine logo.

It is a 9.0 on a 10.0 scale.

#2...excellent creation...it has the look and feel of what I think a "Legend" is...excellent font and design...the fancy, oldtimey "L" is great...the crossed bats are a fine touch...very good colors, too.

And being my old picky self again...it could use more contrast in colors...the "L" and the bats blend together a little too much for me.

Nontheless it is a beautiful logo.

It is a 9.1 on a 10.0 scale.

This is a very hard choice to make...larger Louisville lettering made the difference.

I will vote for #2.

I plead guilty to #2.

These contests are an enjoyable way to learn photoshop, although I think this logo is 'over-shopped'--too many beveled edges and drop shadows. But I love them!

Hope the contest continues, although the next few names leave me scratching my head. I mean, typhoons, hurricanes and blizzards all say to me:

On account of the [typhoon, hurricane, blizzard]

There will be NO BASEBALL TODAY, tommorrow or the next day.

Congratulations to both of you, True Cardinal Fan and Carlton Willey.

Both of you did fine jobs on the logos.

CW:

How did you happen to pick the name of Carlton Willey...a great minor league pitcher...but only fair in the majors...what happened to him? He had such great potential...I remember him when he pitched for the Atlanta Crackers in the mid 50's against my Mobile Bears in the Southern Association.

This one of the first baseball cards I ever owned. Plus, he's got such a weird, goofy look in this photo that its stuck with me all my life. He ended up on the expansion Mets, where he was pretty good but went down with that ship.
