More OOTP 6.5 news
Here we go...
First off, I am really pleased with the new AI and the player development, in the current state things are really solid ![]() Anyway, this is the stuff that has been added since the last development update: - Increased influence of hitter pull rating in game engine - Added Shop player around function: When you are in a player viewer, there is a new button in the top right corner, 'shop player'. This will open a HTML report with possible one-to-one trades for this player. - Player awards are now listed in the team histroy section as well - The player fatigue system has been reworked - Scheduled double-headers now work properly in terms of fatigue and pitcher selection - The in-game screen now displays runners thrown out percentage instead of the passed ball rating of the catcher - OOTP 6.12 exports work in OOTP 6.5!

Wow. Great stuff Markus. The re-working of player fatigue, is that hard coded, or user tweakable? If hard coded, is there a position player stamina rating that could be shown?

To support why the addition of a mod to the pull hitter rating is going to be nice for those of us who care about these things, here's data I took by charting the log files from 50 games of one of my on-line league teams using 6.12. There's a bunch more where this comes from, but it gives the ida well enough...it will be interesting to see how Markus's mods will affect this.
Thanks for working on this, Markus. |

Markus: See link above about whether there is a quick fix to automate the answer and the path when simming "x number of seasons" and the prompt comes up every single season, "import real rookies to original teams" and then the path. Please help us find a way to sim multiple seasons in a historical league without having to answer this prompt each season. |

Thanks Makus for the catcher throwout pct.:whoohoo: Will certainly make the in game managing more fun and save time on having to look at the catcher's player card.
Look forward to seeing the new fatigue system at work. I've always thought it worked pretty well except it seemed that maybe my catchers didn't require as much rest as I thought they should. Maybe that's tied to IRL day game following night game where you'd use two catchers. But ootp only looks at it as consecutive days so it's ok to catch on Friday night and again on Saturday afternoon. Hopefully in ootp7 the start time of games (specifically night games followed by day games) will be taken into consideration. Thanks again for taking the time to use some of our ideas. |

Outstanding additions Markus. It's great to know that while we're pitching these ideas, you continue to demonstrate your ability to catch the best and workable of our intentions.

Wow. I know more than a few individuals here that will love the double-headers working. That "shop around" idea has come as a surprise to me but I love it! Thanks for the update Markus

I think the 6.12 exports working is huge for online leagues. Very nice.

Has there been an "official" release date set yet? Are we into the beta testing stages yet? Anyone know how that's going?
Very antsy...if you couldn't tell. |
