Just to let people know, Dave (Astros33) and I will be starting up this league together. I've had past commissioner experience in Dave Koch's Action PC! baseball replays, and have spent the past year figuring out everything I need to know in OOTP. While I still have to hammer out details with Dave, here is a basic outline of how the league will run:

3 sims a week, 15 days at a time
Real 1972 rosters
OOTP 6.5 incorporated when fully tested (probably by year 2-3)
No comment on the salary cap yet. I prefer one, but I'll talk to Dave to see what he likes as well.

My job allows me to be online everyday, so I will be able to handle things easily when Dave doesn't have all the time he wants. I'm confident that the honesty he shows will make him a great commissioner.

We won't be taking applications until the league constitution is done. So please hold off all requests to join, and we'll have something concrete up by Tuesday.

Thanks for applying gentlemen, but unfortunately we are not doing a first come first serve basis. Once the league is open, the application process will open up and give everyone a fair shot at getting a team of their choice.

I am interested in taking the Brewers.

Also, just keep trying until you get it right. Just PM me or something when you have the league up and running.

Odd. So those who immediately expressed interest, when the new commish asked who might be interested, will not be given any priority? Kind of a strange way of doing business.

If we recieve a serious application from you, and you have already asked for a team earlier, we have no problem giving you that team. I don't think it would be fair to others if you reserved a team and then sent in your application that consisted of "yanks rule i want them".

Ok, heres an update, I've been working with 6.5 and learning all features so that I will know all when the league starts. I've got some web space offered up to me from a friend, so thats no problem. I am gonna start building a page next week(im going on a guided fishing trip friday thru monday) The guy that was gonna help me has pulled out, hence the long wait for an update. This idea is not dead. My question is- exactly what year should we start in? I like 72 the most but if you guys like some other year better let me know.
