Trade KG?
http://espn.go.com/nba/camp2002/colu...m/1449302.html
So, in ESPN.com's MN Timberwolves camp report, Sam Smith suggests that the T-wolves would be better off trading Kevin Garnett. I'm wondering what y'all think about that idea. |

I say no. You dont trade the biggest star in Timerwolves history.
The guy may go soft in pressure moments, but without him they wouldnt have any pressure moments. I think Minnesota needs to stop worryin about Garnett taking the big shot, and start looking for a better 2nd option that can take the weight off of Garnett's shoulders. Wally Szerbiak is obviously not the guy to fill that role. |

Good question.
I think that Szczerbiak can be the guy...he's super underrated. He was an all-star last year, after all, and his defense isn't as bad as people think. He's still improving, which is pretty sweet considering where he's at. All the Wolves need now that Mark Jackson dropped some pounds and is looking great is somebody to cut through the lane and drive to the basket. It's something they haven't had since Marbury. |

I also say they should keep him. He's one of the top 5 all around players in the league. Maybe the Buls could take his salary, they've been looking for a superstar for a while. I don't know if they would ahev enough room with Jalen Rose though.

Well, since the Bulls would have to include Rose in any deal for KG for talent reasons, that wouldn't be a problem.

not to mention that the Bulls wouldhave to throw in a number of other players to make the deal work under salary cap rules.
I just don't see ithappening unless it's for another player like Allan Houston (huge salary). |
