Do you do Stadium Renovations? Ideas please

Hi, I introduced the idea of adding stadium renovations to my online league recently. An overwhelming majority of those who voted supported the idea, so I was looking for some information on how people, who offer renovations, go about conducting them. If you want to post a link to your league rules or feel like typing something out I would love any input. Thanks.

I don't have much experience with stadium renovations, but everything I have read has suggested that if ratings are changed for one park, they should be changed in the opposite direction in another park. Otherwise the league average park ratings will be skewed, which will affect leaguewide stats in ways you might not want.

True....

ALL park ratings (in each category) must average to "100" otherwise the net difference will effect the league totals.

For example, if the league totals are set to produce 5,000 HRs, but your park factors average 105 instead of 100, you'll see an extra 5% HRs in the league (250 HRs more).

I guess it depends on how much you change for the impact it will have. If you have a 32 team league and one stadium increases it's HR RHB by 5 that wouldn't have much impact on the combined HR average. Interesting though, I never knew this.

Just curious, why is that a problem? I mean, if every team in the league plays in a hitter's park, there SHOULD be more home runs.

It depends on what your goals are. If you want to stay true to the league totals you set up, it's important to know this. If your just playing a fictional league and don't care about an increase in homeruns becasue of the parks you've built - then it's not.

Has anyone out there stopped using modifications in their league for any reason?
