This guy was the Babe Ruth of my 100 year sim. He was leading everyone in HRS through the roaring 20s by 10-20 homeruns. Then, all of a sudden.. he lost it..

That's incredible. He hit over .500 for that month, but only about .270 for his career. Heh, not to mention the homers...

Not to mention, inspecting the 1924 stat totals, he only has 26 homeruns

There's no way that guy hit 12 homeruns in a 5 day span. Unless the game was on crack or something. And like others pointed out he only hit 26 HR's that year total, so how did he have 41 in the month of May?

Even he played 7 games that week averaging 5 AB's...so I guess he went approx 26 of 36 with 16 HR???

Where it got that information is a question mark. Here is from the almanac for those two days.

Tuesday 6/1/1924: Red hot Siegrist and White win Batter of the Month award
James Siegrist of Sarasota wins his 1st Batter of the Month award for putting up the best numbers in the American League. James was on fire, hitting .406 with 2 homeruns and 14 RBI. Siegrist has hit 2 homeruns this year while batting .330. He adds one double, along with 5 runs scored. It's the 1st time that the National League Batter of the Month award goes to Youngtown's rightfielder Martin White. Martin was on fire, hitting .330 with 2 homeruns and 13 RBI. His season features a batting average of .284 (56 hits in 197 AB), 5 doubles, 3 triples and 3 homeruns. White collected 18 RBI and 18 runs as well. He's 6th in the National League in batting!

Monday 5/31/1924: Timothy Lisenby blanks Milwaukee with a 2-hitter
MILWAUKEE - All you need to win is a dominating pitching performance. And New Orleans' Timothy Lisenby did so today, in a 2-hit shutout against Milwaukee. Lisenby (7-5) fanned 2 and walked 2, throwing 115 pitches. 'I was hitting my spots. Now I'll start concentrating on my next start, and hopefully it will work again.' Thomas Sawyer provided New Orleans with the offense Lisenby needed as he finished 2 for 4. New Orleans scored 3 runs on 5 hits.
