Ability to turn off Blue stars or Gold stars. Also perhaps a 2-8 star scale would be nice also.

I would like to allow the user to customize the playoff schedules and matchups. For instance in a three-division league, I could allow six teams into the playoffs, giving the teams with the best records byes to the second round. I could also detirming the matchups and the playoff schedule, with those games not carrying over to next season's schedule.
Also I would like the option to have reports display in text format instead of html. I don't post my league results to the internet, and some reports, especially the league transaction log, takes too long to generate in html. -SM

I asked for these a long time ago, and is probably useful for online leagues only:
1. Allow the DL to be retroactive to when the player got hurt. In an online league, players miss way too much time unnecessarily, esp. when they get hurt at the beginning of the sim. This one's probably a 7.0 request: 2. Include the Depth Chart in the Lineup Screen. FOUR COLUMNS: Roster, Lineup, Def. Replacement, Depth (with 2 rows for 2 backups) I don't know how many times I've had to go back and forth from Lineup to Depth to make sure I have the right starters listed. |

Sortable salary demands for FA's so you don't have to click on the individual guy to see what he wants.

ANY data that can be reflected in a Cumulative Park Report. HR, BA, DP, switches aren't even that important for 6.5 just ANY data that can distinguish a specific park's effect on the game.

A place, displayed during game or not, to house info about where the stadium/field is located. If the team isn't named after a city, who know's where it is except in Setup?

would love to see in offseaon free agents bids.
that once a team wins the free agent bid, on the League transaction page also show what the other team's bid offer was to that free agent. This way we can see if the free agent went after the highest bid, or years or to a better team, etc |

Double header support...or the ability to handle fatigue and rotation sequencing properly when two games are scheduled for a team in the same day. I have posted on this before with a long analysis a while back. It doesn't need to be perfect, but I would at least like to see fatigue updated after the game rather than the end of the day. This is the first thing I check when a new version comes out (did it for v5 and v6). I have chosen not to play the game since I discovered the problems with double headers since I am most interested in playing with actual schedules.

I could see having a rumor's section where you hear about other teams offering X amount of money for X years, but the offers could be real or it could be the player creating the reports in order to drive their price up. Last edited by andymac; 06-01-2005 at 03:34 PM. Reason: fixed spelling |

I would like to be able to use the find player feature after the trade deadline. There have been numerous times I want to see where a specific player is playing after the deadline, but the game won't let me into the trading window where the find player button is. Maybe this button could be added to one of the main menus.

A no trade clause, or as Treedom suggests, an override button
5/10 men, although that would be harder to implement for sure, but please keep that in mind for Version 7 Harder difficulty for in season extensions. Utilize the loyalty factor here If they are not loyal at all, you will have to outbid all other teams If they are average, it's a 50/50 shot extending them, which can go up or down depending on their role and their will to win If they are loyal, then its pretty easy to sign them in season and for an extended period of time |

Random display suggestion. When a pitcher gets tired, his name turns red. Managers don't always know right away when a pitcher gets tired, he has to judge it from the speed of his fastball and his performance. The option to disable the red name might be interesting.

I'd like to see some more beef added to the managerial options for when you play out your games, rather than sim. Specifically-
(1) I'd like to see a true Hit-and-Run, in addition to the misnamed Run-and-Hit we currently have. (2) I'd like to see the Steal option improved/added to. IMHO, when you give a runner the 'steal' sign, you should be able to give him the option to shake off the sign if he doesn't think he's gotten a good jump (as is currently the case); or run regardless. (3) I'd like to see the ability to not only tell a batter to swing away, but to swing for contact, maximizing the chance of advancing the runner, at the expense of power. (4) I'd like to see the ability to more robustly control the defense; specifically things like the infamous Giambi Shift for infield and outfield, either together or seperately.
