OOTP Player Ranker Released!

We would like to announce the brand new OOTP Player Ranker has officially been released. We have a brand new website that is being released in a couple days, but I have thrown up a temporary one for now so you can have the utility today. Stop by and let us know what you think.

Hey, not a big deal, but I just figured I'd point it out. The following catagories have the title '2B Ranking' for their HTML Report:

Third Base
Shortstop
Left Field
Center Field
Right Field
Catcher
DH
All Infielders
All Outfielders

Congrats on completing your project. I'm certain it's outstanding.

Quick question. Is the forum link on the temp page a permanent forum? Should we register there in order to provide comments and feedback?

Actually, are you sure about this? I just tested the one I ran and they all seem correct. http://www.actionpackedbaseballleague.com/rank

I'm new to all this, so once I have created the files, how do I read them?

Double click on the file and it should open in your web browser :-)

Hm...maybe I'm missing something. I think I loaded the proper csv files. I go over to the last tab and have it create the file. It says it has ranked 901 player and created the all.html file. When I double click on that file, the template is there, but no players are listed. Did I miss a step wherein it actually created the player rankings?

What does the template say? Click on the link there.

The template has a yellow bar which says Overall Player Rankings. Blow that is a purple bar split into 6 chunks: blank, player, team position, player level, and rating. At the very bottom of the page it says "Generated by PlayerRanker 1.0 - Sunday, May 29, 2005."

That's it. There are no players listed.

Did you click which pages you wanted generated? Like all players, position and so on.

Yup. I clicked "All Players." That's why the html file is called all.html and the yellow bar says "Overall player rankings." I don't think I missed any steps...am I loading it from the right .csv files? The csv folder I used was the one the one in the CatoBase folder.

I guess that should be it. Not sure, what version are you using? Try using this exporter:

Ah, it worked. Very cool. Thanks. Is there some reason you capped the output at 50 though?

Same thing happened to me, seems the catobase csv files don't work, so you have to regenerate them using the exporterv6 utility.
