Dear Markus Heinsohn,
Japanese and defected Cuban players entering the league before free-agency does that mean we can sign Japanese and defected Cuban Players and Pitchers and a Japanese teams can purchase a player or pitcher from a Minor League Team or be sold to a Japanese team
Thanks for adding these 2 features
In-Season retirements now happen from time to time
Players now sometimes come out of retirement and start a comeback hob about Staff and Pitchers also
Off-season and spring training injuries have been added but how about the Offseason start 15 days after the World Series ends and ends at Opening Day and why can't we have a regular Spring Training with Non Roster Players/Pitchers, Split Squad Games,Minor League Camps and Games against your Minor League teams and Colllege Teams

Minor League teams Relocating if they Major League doesn't renew their contract and also Major League teams

It's just an expansion. You'll see a lot more of the features you want in OOTP 7.

Yep, as a matter of fact many have already been either announced or explained that they wouldn't be coming.

*a year-round schedule of baseball will be a part of v7, including winter leagues
*there will be a full Spring Training. It may not have all the bells and whistles, but it will have games, injuries, etc.
*there will not be college teams
*there will not be an expansion draft, at least not with the first release unless this is one of the reasons the release date has been pushed back
*"Black Monday" (the day before the all-star game for those unfamiliar with the designation) is already a part of the regular schedule.

Black Monday is the day before the Playoffs start when some teams not in the playoffs mostly taems at the bottom of their Division fire their Manager!

To answer that, there are no major league managers as of yet in OOTP. You'll have to wait until 7.

In 06.5 they can just let us sim from when the World Series ends to Opening Day but the only dates that would be their between that time is Rule 5 Draft because the other specific dates aren't in the game yet!

1) Unless you are playing in "manager mode," there are no managers in the majors. You have a pitching and hitting coach, and that's it. In the minors ONLY, you have managers but you don't have hitting and pitching coaches. This is more than likely going to change in 7, but it's the setup for 6 and 6.5 doesn't indicate there's going to be any change.
2) No additional leagues will be added in 6.5 - the players from Japan and Cuba will likely seem to appear out of thin air as surprise free agents. In 7, as has already been announced, there will be leagues from all over the world.
3) I'm confused as to what you are referring to in regards to dates between the World Series and opening day. Currently, there are a few off-season activities that are a part of the game, and these occur at specific times; signing coaches/scouts/minor league managers, free agency, the amateur draft (if you selected preseason), and spring training. There's also the news cycle which tells you what players retired, became free agents, etc..
4) In OOTP, when a player reaches the end of his contract he automatically becomes a free agent. They don't have to declare. There is a process for those who are arbitration eligible, but that's also handled with minimal interaction.

In real baseball there is a declaration process that takes place after the World Series (or October 15th, whichever is later) wherein the player has 15 days to give notice to the player's association his intent to become a free agent, and then the association notifies the team. But it's just paperwork. OOTP Saves us from excessive thumbtwiddling and left-clicking by taking care of that automatically.

Right know after the World Series is over we can't sim anymore we have to proceed to next season but we can only sim day by day intill end of December but the Rule 5 Draft doesn't happen only happens if we proceed to next season! I would like to sim 362 straight without skipping any days and not have to wait intill version 7 comes out to do it!
In a Patch that comes out for 06.5 before version 7 they need to replace signing coaches/scouts/minor league managers and free agency and put them both together and have the Signing/Firing Staff/Front Office all year round and the have Free Agency/Trades in the offseason start 15 days after the World Sereis ends to Opening day and also have the College Draft last 2 days and be in the middle of June and change Spring Training format to games like in MVP Baseball! It doesn't have to have all options just Spring Training games! The options I can wait for! Also in Patch the Rule Draft 5 needs to be fixed with all the portions because it just includes right know the Major League Portion not the Minor League ones

Ahh - thanks! Now I think I understand where you're coming from. I'd agree that more realism like you're suggesting would be fun at least for me, I'm not sure if that level of depth is what most would want. Perhaps some sort of day-by-day option for those who would enjoy it?

The rumor mill, minor league all-star games, etc. are other things that many have wanted - all are good ideas.

Does anybody know if the rosters will be as of 6-9-05! Is their away to edit the Standings because I would like to have then Standings up intill June 9 05 so I can contiune the MLB season allready in progress! I know if would be hard to put in everybody's stat's so far this season!
I would like to see live Play by Play in this game because MVP Baseball has it but that game isn't going to be made next year or probley never again but maybe SI the developers of this game can buy that game and combined them both together because I like all the features in both game!

6.5 won't come with official rosters - you 'll have to talk to the roster set makers about that - but 7.0 supposedly will. Because of the wait until Spring, I'd imagine they'll be up to date as of at least around Spring Training. I'm also not aware of any way to edit the standings, but somebody else might know of some way to get into that.

Not being a representative of OOTP Developments, SI, or Sega, I can't speak to any of their business plans but I still feel secure in saying that they will never buy that franchise and combine the games for reasons too numerous to name.
As for "live play-by-play," do you mean having voice talent read it out loud? I don't think that can be integrated into the game because the PbP is going to be modular in 7.0, which means every owner would need said voice talent to be available for them ... not gonna happen. You might be able use some text reader program to accomplish the task, but I couldn't verify it would work, nor would I expect the experience to be what you were looking for.

I doubt any rosters come out with the correct standings and statistics for halfway through the 2005 season. I just don't think there is any feasible way to create a roster with those things. I would bet that somebody will come out with "updated" rosters, though, with all changes made from the beginning of the season until that date. This is just speculative, however.
