Play-by-Play displays

I have noticed an issue during games where the play-by-play is tough to read since it will display on top of itself. In addition, is there a skin or setup that will make the other displays (i.e. rosters, standings, any other areas for this matter) easier to read. Even during games, I was having trouble reading my pitchers and hitters statistics at the bottom of the screen. Any and all guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks much,

Toggle 3d setting in game config., make sure direct X and video drivers are updated and screen is set to 1024x768.

When I tried the demo on my Windows 98 desktop all was fine. But on my Win XP laptop I am still experiencing the issues I stated even though all my drivers, Direct X, picture resolution are as updated and set as you instructed. Any other ideas?
