OOTP7 Release Date?

This may be the wrong forum, but bare with me. Maybe this has been announced already but I am unable to find it. Does anyone know the released date of OOTP7? I am itching to get my hands on it.

Thanks!

Jason

They havn't confirmed anything, but it has been hinted that it will be out sometime between December 2005 and the beginning of the 2006 baseball season.

Why is the long answer shorter than the short answer?

There's a long answer and a short answer to that question, but I won't bore you with the details.

+1!

So ... the "short" answer is actually longer than the "long" answer? My dictionary must be defective.

They might as well wait until next baseball season to release it. It seems a little foolish to release a baseball game in December to me.

I don't know. Releasing in December will allow plenty of time to get it patched and in good shape for opening day.

Marketing-wise, it wouldn't be foolish. You get the rabid fans who will buy it whenever it comes out (ie us) and to find any bugs that might exist in the program as well as working on fan-made rosters. Come March, when most of the baseball fans start looking for that new game, OOTP7 is hopefully mostly bug-free and with "real player" rosters available for download.

Because "Stay tuned" wasn't the long answer. He was saying that the original poster should stay tuned because the discussion that ensued would be the long answer. "Stay tuned" was an instruction to get the long answer, not the long answer itself. At least that's the way I read it.
