Call me an idiot...but I finally got around to selecting an avatar, and I can't figure out how to edit it down to be small enough...any suggestions?

just paste it to paint, then crop it.. if you want you can pm the avatar, and i'll size it down for you.

Wow...now I'm, getting a message about how it's not a valid JPG, etc...seems to be a bitmap or something. So I try to paste it's web adress, and it's too large! Ugh...how can this possibly be so hard?

You should be able to just right click on the picture above and choose to save it. Then you can upload it from your computer to the forum on your edit avatar page. It is a gif file something like 83x125 pixels and 8.7kb, both within the limits for the avatar sizes on the board. I tested it before I posted it and it worked, so you'll get it.

Yah Im doing all that...the problem is I have no other option but to save it as a bitmap...not a GIF if JPG or any of those...and when i try to do it it says that it's not valid because it's a bitmap...im frustrated!
