GBPA Needs Players!

The Global Baseball Players Association is in search of some fresh blood. The league is aiming towards expansion within the next 2 seasons, but in order to do that, we need some new faces in the league. The league has been gaining activity since the 2006 season, and is becoming very enjoyable for all parties.

As of now, we only have 6 teams, all of which are in 1 conference. We are hoping to add 2 new teams to the league, thus enabling us to have two, four team conferences. It would be nice to let the game handle the playoffs instead of me having to go through the hassle of doing so.

We have a great core of General Managers, all of which are active and enjoy what they do.

We have over 100 players registered on our forums, and would like to see that number go up. We offer many ways to upgrade your players, and we offer business oppurtunities. They include, but are not limited to:

  • House purchases, which will enable you to raise the overall value of any category for your player
  • Bat purchases, which increase LHP or RHP for any category
  • Ball purchases, which increase LHB or RHB for any category
  • Glove purchases, which increase your range
  • Soon to come...shoe purchases, which will increase your speed, and car purchases, which will most likely increase overall talent
  • Got a injured player? No problem. Head on over to the All Pro Rehab Center, where for a few bucks, you can shorten the length of your injury!
  • In a gambling mood? The Triple Crown Casino, ran by the one, the only, disposablehero, offers betting on NCAA basketball, football, NBA, NFL, and other sports! You may earn a few bucks, or be like me, and lose a few bucks.
  • The GBPA Bank does some great business as well. Doug Timms, a person who is very dedicated to the league, runs the bank. He can lay out a loan for you to buy a player upgrade, etc. Starting soon, the bank will also be allocating its excess money to the players of the league. Nice way to earn a couple of bucks.
The league website can be found at http://www.gbpa.cawunited.com
The league message board can be found at http://www.gbpa.cawunited.com/forum

I look forward to seeing some fresh faces in the league. Thanks for your time!

-Steve

We have more then 100 players...when we switched message boards, we weeded out all of the *inactives*.

6 teams * 25 men per roster=150 players, and we have the minor league system open.

Just so my league know's, it appears that the GBPA Message Board has been hacked. I am in contact with my webhost, and I am waiting for a response from him. I believe that he does daily back-ups on all websites and forums--at least I hope so.

I really hate to do this, but I am going to have to shut the league down. My webhost did not have a back-up of the forum, and I had back-ups, but lost them when my computer crapped out on me.

However, I will be looking to start fresh with a new players league. If anyone out there would be willing to help me out with a website, please let me know. It would be much appreciated.

I have thought about keeping the GBPA name, but have decided against it. I feel it will be best if we change the league name and get a new web address, to help prevent another hacking.

WWBL, I was working on one, then I got hacked again by Saudi-X. So, a friend of mine set me up with a subdomain on his account with allin1websolutions, so I am working on getting a players league up there. When we are ready to go, I'll let you know.
