Dave Williams Originator problem
So, I've been trying to use Dave Williams' Originator on my league. I have exported my Players_General file into my league directory, and when I attempt to run the originator, it tells me that "0 of 2823 players have been modified." When I import my Players_General information back into my league, none of my players have names or origins. What am I doing wrong?

Do you have the origins data folder (with a bunch of files like Origins_ja.dat, Fnames_ja.dat, etc...) inside the league folder?

Even when the Originator does work for me, I always get a message that 0 of <#> players have been modified. But I've always had the names and origins change when I do get the message. The only times it doesn't work, I get an error that crashes the program.
It shouldn't even work if the OriginData folder isn't present (giving one of those crashy errors), but like Spindel said, you should definitely check it. Take a look at your player_general.csv before and after running the originator, and see whether there's any change in the .csv, or any immediately obvious problems there (columns getting moved, so on). I have no idea why OOTP wouldn't import it properly if there's no problem in the .csv, but it's a possibility. Also, are you using the Originator or the Origins Only? I'd stick to using the former if you're not.

Also, always back up your league before going ahead with this, and also make a quick copy of the csv export too.
