Editing player names and ratings???

I just got the game and I can't figure out how to edit a players name so i can create my own players....i click on the edit players but nothing happens.....any suggestions or specific method to do this? thanks!!!!

When you click on a player to view the screen for him, in the upper right hand corner there is the Editor button. Push that and various buttons should show up that allow you to edit just about everything.

If you chose to start a manager career (i.e., use manager mode) for the league you cannot edit such things though. There is a 3rd party utility program called something like the manager mode editor you can use that I think temporarily "turns off" manager mode. I do not know much about it though as I have never used it. Try a search and/or looking for a link to it in the mods forum if you need it.

click on an individual player bring up their info screen, edit player that will allow you to edit everything about the player. click on the blue tab next to the field you want to edit, like first name and it highlights and enter in the value you want, rinse and repeat.
