Help app failed to intialize

The game was running fine on my new rig. Somehow I can not play I have the elincense in the control panel has nothing listed. I have unistalled and re install several times and it never ask for my license. When I try to play I get the application failed to intialize properly (0xc0000005) click on ok to terminate the application error. I have uninstalled Norton tried the service property and got this error message Could not start the licctrl service service on local service on local computer error 1053:the service did not respond.

My system a64 3000+ 1gig ram 80gig hd space remaining leadtek px6600 vid card.

Please help

I emailed them and spoke to a customer service lady on the phone. A tech was supposed to get back to me today I am assuming they have all gone home for the day. I wonder if I need to reinstall xp?

If you did that, of course it would work but it's time consuming. By the time you get all your apps back installed and back to normal the elicense people might have your issue resolved.

I personally don't like this option but it does work: Use system restore to return your computer back to a date when OOTP was working. Keep in mind that any settings and software that have been changed since this date will have thier changes undone too.

I just build this system 4 days ago so there is not alot on it right now. But I will wait for a solution from elicense until later today.

I never hard back from elicense so unfortunantly I had to restore from when the game was working. Everything seems in order the game works but now I have a bunch of duplicate files especially drivers need to figure out a way to get rid of them.

There's a great program called Ashampoo WinOptimizer which can help you clean up duplicates, redundant files and registry entries safely. System Restore, as I said in my post above, is an option that works but I really don't like it.
