MEMPHIS MOCCASINS is Logo #14 to be designed for the Logo Favorites Compilation.

Memphis is on the banks of the Mississippi River, the 'Birthplace of the Blues"...home of Beale Street, famous for blues music...Sun Recording Studios (Rockabilly) and Stax/Volt Studios, home of Otis Redding, Al Green, Sam and Dave and the "Memphis Sound"...Graceland, Elvis Presley's mansion and home is there...settled by the Chickasaws, an Indian tribe...and world leader in cargo distribution, home of FedEx.

If you would like to design a logo, you have until Midnight Tuesday, April 19 at 11:59 pm CST (USA) to e-mail it to jnshmoo.

You may submit more than one logo...but please make them distinctly different from each other...and not just slight variations of the same logo

Each committee member gave their top ten picks...awarding 10 points for the best nickname...9 points for their second choice...and down 1 point for their tenth choice.

Normally there are three committee members voting, but only two submitted votes this week.

I didn't have time to do this one either, plus I didn't really have any good ideas.

In case it turns out there are no entries for this name, I'd suggest bumping it to the back of the list and proceeding with whatever name is #15 and continuing on.

Well, here's what we have folks. I have two entries by one person. I can officially declare him the winner and throw up a quick poll to vote on which of his entries will be selected. Any ideas on this one? Should I post a poll on what to do?

EDIT: FYI, for several weeks now I haven't gotten around to zipping up the compilations and sending them to Joe and Al to be put on their websites. I'm going to try to buckle down and get caught up this weekend. Hopefully we'll have bad weather here in Detroit that will detract from me spending the entire weekend out in the yard again! I tell ya, it's SOOOOOOO nice finally living in a house that has a nice yard to muck about with and spend an afternoon listening to ballgames.

I do think the end of the semester for college students have a HUGE factor on this week, and I think it will happen for at least another 2 to 3 more. Maybe it's just me, I dunno.

I also didn't have time to do this one - had an idea but just no time to run with it. I agree with LGO - bump this one back and re-post it later. My time will free up some over the next week but at least then you might have a few more entries.

I conquer...I would bump it back to the end and post it up again. Just check with the designer of these 2 logos and see if they want those ones used or if they would like to make new ones when it's posted up again.

Here is my two cents worth:

If it is ok with the only entrant, let's just extend this a week and see if we get more entries.

If he would like to be declared the winner, that would be fine...no problem...because he met all of the qualifications and would deserve it.

jnshmoo, contact him and see how he feels about this situation...and you make the decision.

Just let me know what his and your decision is.
