Getting Fired

Can you be fired (manager mode) midseason?

My owner is a "bad dude" and after my last loss, the last of a 3 game sweep by the Cubs, his mood dropped 4 pts!

Ouch.

Probably at the end of the season, your contract won't be renewed. My owner mood is 85 so I don't know if you can be fired or not.

Your contract won't be renewed when it expires. I don't play manager mode a whole lot but have never experienced or have seen where someone got fired with a contract.

A fellow OOTPer here at work got fired mid-season once. Not sure if he was using 5 or 6, though.

I'm using v.6 and yes, you can get fired mid season. It actually happened to me in mid August. Yes, I was that bad. Last place about 25 games out. The following year, I was hired by a team and we made the playoffs and then the following year won it all. Now, 2 seasons later, I'm back in last place again.

I have been fired in August, too. I got an email saying to turn it around and a couple of weeks later I got the axe.

Thank god I keep my owner mood at 100!!!

If it drops even a little I get ticked!!!

Of course my owner is a nice guy though
