80's stats
What league totals are people using to generate statistics close to what was done in the 1980's in MLB? I'm not going to have Colorado in my league and I'd like for the leader in HRs to be around 35-40. Any suggestions on some totals to use?

Check out the LBA's stats at http://www.laseron.org and see how you like them. Note that Dell Bradley is a phenominal HR hitter (Cecil Fielder type re: 80's)....
If you like those stats download our file and copy the ERA settings. (I don't have them handy to post here at the moment)

Sorry, that link was a bit vague for finding good stats since we just started a new season. Check out our Wallman's DB. http://www.laseron.org/database/index.htm
Northern League Team Totals http://www.laseron.org/database/leagues/1900_1.htm (Pitching slanted league) Southern League team Totals http://www.laseron.org/database/leagues/1900_2.htm (hitting slanted league) The two leagues are slanted only because of the player skills...they both have the same ballpark factors/era settings. This would give you a good idea of the extremes in either direction for any given league, since we don't use interleague play. Note: 154 game season with staggered off days...all ballparks are same dimisions and offense/defense effects.

Like the stats. I'm having trouble locating the setting though. Are they in the download? What file should I be looking for?
Thanks |
